SFE Schulz Academy has an impressive coaching history. Our team of highly regarded professional trainers have coached top-level soccer for a combined seventy-nine years, with the head trainers, Jorge "Pitu" Alvarez, Josef Schulz, and Charles Freitas, accounting for 20 of the 79 years. Our coaches have also played professionally and semi-professionally in Europe, South America, and the United States, which provides our Club with a uniquely diverse base from which to develop and implement training techniques that are distinct to our Club, and second to none. For example, every club boasts the strength of their skills training. Unlike other teams, however, SFE will have the proven resources to help our players prepare physically, psychologically and emotionally for the increased level of competition as they grow and become better recognized. These techniques, in addition to the exceptional skills training already provided by the Club, will give the Club a competitive advantage from day one of the merger.

One of the important synergies of the South Florida Elite/Schulz Academy Alliance is that the coaches share the same philosophies. Our coaches equip SFE’s players with the necessary skills and knowledge of the game to succeed on the soccer field. The coaches focus on the skill sets of the individual players, arming them with the technical skills (e.g., passing, shooting, defense, etc.) to manage and control the game under different scenarios. Our girls and boys will continue to learn the strategic components of the game, putting them in a position to out-think, and therefore out-perform, opponents. Player strengths will be fortified and weaknesses will be improved.
